Ronnie, if you wanna hear about calf roper Mark Nugent, I'll tell you who he is. Mark Nugent won Rookie of the Year honours and the Canadian Calf Roping title at 19 years of age and has been one of the top guns of the sport ever since. What some folks don't know is that the Calf Roping Championship wasn't Mark's first Canadian title. He had previously copped Boys Steer Riding honours. 2001 marked the Water Valley roper's 15th consecutive CFR qualification. A second generation cowboy, Mark, who trains horses when not on the rodeo trail, has competed at and won many of the top rodeos in North America and is tremendously respected by his peers.
